Geocache Description:

Just a quick cache and dash to reward you for your drive in the area.

While driving in the area we saw this sign and wondered who Helen was and why she had a road named after her. I doubt that it was Helen of Troy, but it got us thinking and we had to do a bit of research to refresh our memories. Maybe you need a little refresher course too.
"In Greek mythology, Helen (in Greek, Heléne), known as Helen of Troy (and earlier Helen of Sparta), was the daughter of Zeus and Leda (or Nemesis), wife of King Menelaus of Sparta and sister of Castor, Polydeuces and Clytemnestra. Her abduction by Paris brought about the Trojan War. Helen was described by Dr. Faustus in Christopher Marlowe's eponymous play as having 'the face that launched a thousand ships.'" (from Wikipedia)
