Geocache Description:

I've always been intrigued by the historical bell that stands at the opposite end of Bee Street. One online source says the bell was placed in 1948 to commemorate the Gold Rush centennial.

To find the cache, first find "my" bell. Underneath it you will see two painted signs. Answer the questions below to determine the final cache coordinates.

For North coordinates, use the sign aligned east-west, along the named city street.

A = on line 5, number of letters in the second word.
B = on line 3, number of letters in the second word.
C = the second number within the quotation marks.
D = the second number of the indicated number of miles.
E = the first number of the indicated number of miles.

North = 38-AB.CDE Checksum = 32

For West coordinates, use the sign aligned NNE-SSE, along the numbered highway.

F = the first number of the highway.
G = the number of the letters "L" on the sign.
H = on line 6, the sum of the first two digits of the year.
I = on line 4, the sum of the number of letters in the 2nd and 3rd words.
J = on line 2, the first word times 3.

West = 120-FG.HIJ Checksum = 36

The cache is well cammoed, approximately 2.5 x 1.5 inches.
