Historic site in Monitor, AB. St. Laurence Anglican Church( decomissioned)
One of Alberta's registered historic sites..Founded in 1915 with financial aid from England. This old church stands today as a tribute to the pioneers who settled in this now sparsley populated part of the province. A look @ the ledger of who served in the First World War from this area serves as a reminder of how vibrant a community and district this once was. The stained glass window, dedicated in 1963 is worth the trip alone. An absolute gem. The cache is INSIDE the church.
