Geocache Description:

This cache is in a carrying safe. It is painted to match the terrain. There are muggles o' plenty in this area due to this being a premiere parking area for the best swimming hole in Trinity! You'll have to do a little climbing.

This cache is a located in a parking area that we went to every summer to go swimming while visiting my friend's cabin on Post Mountain for the last 25 years. Hundred degree days were no match for the chilly Rattlesnake creek! You'll have to be attentive to traffic coming and going with this cache. A curious muggle could be the death of a cache like this. You should NOT be anywhere near the cliff to find this cache. Watch for critters, as you never know where a snake or scorpion may linger. We have seen plenty in these mountains over the years!
The cache is the size of a brief case. I have filled it with football items, trinkets, a geocoin and other surprises. Some of my fondest memories are of this area and I remember blasting The Scorpions on trips to this river with my friends. First to find can email me their address and I will send them a copy of the Scorpions "Love at First Sting" on CD to celebrate those days gone by!
Don't leave this area without taking a peek at the river below. Absolutely gorgeous! If you decide to go swimming you can access this area from the end of the parking lot, or get there easier by going to the Hell Gate camp ground and walking in.
I wanted the cache to be big enough to swap items. If you take something, leave something. Every November I visit this area with my friends, and I will make a point to add items annually when we visit. If it's snowing, you probably won't be able to access this cache unless Hwy 36 is plowed, and then it will be quite a tough find and a menacing tromp through the snow. Good luck and happy caching!
