La cache se trouve près de la porte du Vallon située sur la route qui conduit à Mulhouse.

The cache is near the Vallon gate located on the road which leads to Mulhouse		 remparts de la justce
Le fort de la Miotte Les remparts du fort de la Justice
La porte du Vallon est ouverte dans le front du vallon reliant les forts de la Miotte et de la Justice. Munie d'une poterne et d'un pont levis, elle commande le passage de la route de Mulhouse. En arrière de la courtine se trouvait un magasin à poudre. Aujourd'hui encore l'ancien octroi marque la limite de la ville. porte du vallon  The Vallon gate: Opening onto the front of the vale and connecting the fort of "la Miotte" and "la Justice", it has a postern and a drawbridge, it controlled the passage along the Mulhouse road. Behind the courtine was locared a powder warehouse. Even today, the tollhouse marks the town limit.
