When: Saturday, January 9, 2010
Time: 5:30 – 8:30 pm
Where: Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, 411 156th Ave NE,
Bellevue. Enter through the lower parking lot off NE 6th St (N47°
36.910 W122° 08.071).
There should be plenty of fun (and parking) for
everyone.
Activities
- Potluck Dinner: This year, instead of
a general potluck, we're hosting Spudfest, a celebration of our
starchy friends. The LandRovers have generously offered to provide
the baked potatoes, so you should bring a complementary food item
from the menu below. Plates and utensils will be provided. There
will be a few beverages, but feel free to bring more. No alcohol
allowed.
- White Elephant Exchange: Bring one
wrapped gift ($10 or less) to exchange for each person who would
like to receive one. Gifts that fit the geocaching lifestyle are
the most appreciated. To expedite the gift exchange, we'll have a
drawing for the gifts and keep what we get. If you want to trade
with someone afterward, you're on your own.
- Geocoin & Travel Bug Exchange:
Launch your new TBs or trade experienced ones. We'll have fun
swapping and sending them on their way. Thanks to Scooby of Shaggy,
Scooby and Velma for hosting the table!
- Meet the New WSGA Officers:
Unfortunately, our new Puget Sound chapter rep, The Jester, has a
conflict, but all four officers will be there: hydnsek (president),
Cookingbugs05 (vice president), tolmaus (secretary), and jcar
(treasurer). Plus, we have folks attending from at least four other
WSGA chapter areas, so we'll do a big round of introductions.
And treasurer jcar will be glad to collect dues
from renewing or new members - it's that time!
Please log your attendance plans and food items, so we
know how many folks to expect (including spouses and children) and
ensure we have everything needed for our starchy feast.
Menu
We're expecting 100+ people, so bring enough
of your food choice to top at least 25 potatoes or serve 25
people (think Costco, not Safeway). If an item says "x
people" then we still need folks to bring it.
