A
Caching Christmas
Cracker
2009
will be held
at:
The Bull Inn, Cock Lane, Stanford Dingley
(near Reading), RG7 6LS
(Tel: 01189 744582)
from 12 noon
to 2.30pm
on Sunday 13 December
2009.
This is the fifth Caching Christmas Cracker!
Come along for a bit of pre-Christmas cheer, caching banter,
geocoin fondling and travel bug swapping. Food will be available,
and it would be really helpful to have a rough idea of numbers and
choices before the event. We will be posting a google document as
soon as the food choices are finalised with the pub manager. There
are lots of caches nearby, but we are hoping to pop a few more out
in time for the event. Car parking at the pub is a bit limited, but
we will be posting details of alternative parking in due
course.
PLEASE ADD THIS LISTING TO YOUR WATCHLIST
so you can be kept advised of updates.
We look forward to seeing
you.
Merry Christmas
Everyone!
Will confirm shortly as to whether
dogs are allowed on the premises or not.
UPDATE 7 DECEMBER 2009
The pub has now reopened and I have the menu choices for our
event.
They are as
follows: Leek and Potato Soup with crusty bread at £4.00; Leek and
Potato Soup with ham and mustard sandwich at £6.50; Leek and Potato
Soup with mature cheddar sandwich at £6.50; Beef stew with parsley
mash and roast root vegetables at £6.50; Roast turkey with all the
trimmings at £8.50; Roast beef with yorkshire pudding at £8.50.
Half sized roast meals are available for children at
£5.00.
I have set
up a google document which everyone can access here
(
visit link) - if you would like food on Sunday, please add your
choices to the list.
For those
who are unsure if they will be attending, or for last minute
attendees, food will be available but you may have a bit of a wait.
The pub managers have asked if we can get these food choices to
them by Thursday it would be very helpful.
Please
email me if you have any
queries or special requests.
UPDATE 10 DECEMBER
Car Parking is not as limited as first thought. What looks like a
grassed area is in fact a hardstanding. Please use nearby roadside
parking if car park is full.
Don't forget your
santa
hats,
tinsel
,
mistletoe,
etc - will look fab out on the caching trail
Lots of caches around and about
Stanford Dingley, and you never know, there might be a few new ones
nearby, details of which will be available on the day.
