Little Red Sucker Creek
This cache is located near the Little Red Sucker Creek. There is plenty of parking available near the trail head, even for vehicles with small trailers. Please be careful turning off the highway, since it is near a passing lane section of the highway.
The posted coordinates are for the first stage.
As you drive to the parking area, you will pass the first stage. At the first stage, you will find a series of numbers attached to a spruce tree. Please write these numbers down carefully. They are required to solve the final cache location.
Use the numbers at the reference point to calculate the coordinates for the final cache location, as follows:
FINAL NORTH COORDINATE - take the numbers on the left side, transpose the numbers so that they read side by side (AB) (top number becomes the first number, etc.).
Use the following formula to calculate the offset for the North Coordinate:
((AB X 4) -10)/1000
Subtract this number from the posted North Coordinate to get the North Coordinate for the final cache location.
FINAL WEST COORDINATE - take the numbers on the right side, transpose the numbers so that they read side by side (CDE) (top number becomes the first number, etc.).
Use the following formula to calculate the offset for the West Coordinate:
(CDE - 98)/1000
Add this number to the posted West Coordinate to get the West Coordinate for the final cache location.
Enjoy the walk along the trail to the final cache location. You will be going down a hill (which can be steep in sections) and over 2 small streams to get to the final cache location. The cache is located only a short distance off the main trail - very little bushwhacking is involved.
This cache, an ammo can, is located near the Little Red Sucker Creek. The creek eventually flows into the Little Red Sucker Lake.
