Geocache Description:

The event is free. * * However, there will be a $4 gate fee per vehicle * * There is no gate fee for those with annual passes.

Come join us for our before the event "Meat" & Greet. We will begin with a reading of the book "Stone Soup" followed by making a huge pot of, wait for it.... Stone Soup. So bring your favorite soup ingredient (meat or vegetable - we'll be making a vegetarian soup too!) Then, we'll cook and sing around the campfire (bring musical instruments if you have them... and can play them!)
Event begins at 5pm (to start the soup) and dinner will be served around 6pm.

Camping is half-off regular price and is available on park grounds for $11.22 per site/ per day(electric hook-up available at each site; vault restrooms, no showers.) Up to 3 tents per site OR 1 camper with 1 tent per site will be allowed. This is a great deal!

The property manager has decided to let us set aside a block of 20 campsites for that weekend. What that essentially means is that no other campers can choose those sites. We'll go ahead and keep an informal "reservation list" of folks who are interested in camping. If you know of any other geocachers who are planning on camping, please give them Angie's email. her email is amanuel@dnr.in.gov. Please email her if you would like to be on the camping list for this event. You cannot use the online reservation system in March, as this is considered off season.(Thanks, Lakedawgs)

UPDATE 1/2010- one campsite will be designated as the "hospitality site" We'll have a big campfire and toast s'mores after our soup. REMINDER ADULT BEVERAGES CAN ONLY BE CONSUMED AT CAMPSITES OR IN DESIGNATED PICNIC AREAS. NO BEVERAGES SHOULD BE TAKEN WITH PARTICIPANTS WHILE ON THE TRAILS.
