Geocache Description:

Blue Moon

Blue Moon – The Second Full Moon within a month.

Blue Moon – A classic song written by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart in 1934.

Blue Moon – A beer brewed by Molson Coors in the USA. Unfortunately I haven’t located anyone importing it, as I’d love to try their special Blue Moon Grand Cru.

Blue Moon – The Detective Agency in Moonlighting (A classic show with Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd).

Searching the internet there are many uses of the term Blue Moon.

But what has Blue Moon got to do with this cache?

I found this spot one day and the blue and the curvature used gave me Blue Moon. I also discovered that the 31st December 2009 was a Blue Moon (the next one isn’t until August 31st 2012, and the one after that is July 31st 2015 – so don’t expect a series).

Blue is also the colour I see whenever I generate the GC closest to home list and see First Lunar sitting at the top; and Blue is the colour when I realise it has been at the top of the list for 190 days (31st Dec 09).

Blue is the colour of the uniforms if one was to go to the dummy coordinates used for this cache. You may find a moon close by at GZ occasionally. Perhaps there is an extra link between First Lunar and GZ, but I’ll let you think about that one.

To locate the cache simply click on this link and you’ll hear where it is located (just try not to get hypnotised by it).

P.S If anyone is going to the States feel free to bring me back a Pale Blue Moon.
