Geocache Description:

This is our multi-cache and we have tried to make it a hard one due to the easy location of the cache. The cache has been designed in the loving memory of our grandma, Barbara, who loved to do puzzles and would have loved Geocaching and our puppy, Paddy, who loves to go paddling in the small stream in the park.

The co-ordinates above are for the first stage of the multi and parking can be found on the road side opposite the park gates. The park was established for the enjoyment of the local town and is now a very popular dog walking place. We have rated it as 3 for terrain as when wet this place can be VERY muddy and slippery.

So… to complete this cache is very simple, firstly go to the above co-ordinates and read the sign about the park, then answer the question below to work out the next set of co-ordinates. Then move to the second location and find the numbers that will give you the second set of information needed to work out the final cache location.

The cache and the two stages are all inside the park and should not take longer than an hour (you can walk the whole park in fifteen minutes!)

Stage 1
N52 51.760
W003 03.694
Question – What year was the park opened?
Answer – ABCD

Stage 2
N52 CA.(B-A)C3
W003 03.(B-D)0(B-A)
Question – What 4 numbers can you see?
Answer – EFGH

Final Stage
N52 51.HB(F+A)
W003 EF.GFB

We have taken several reading to try to ensure that the above co-ordinates are correct but (as normal) the weather was a little windy so if you might find that the co-ordinates are out slightly, please let us know what yours were but as we live locally we will continue to check the co-ordinates but each time we've checked these so far they have been within 10ft of the information you would require.
