Geocache Description:

This is the first cache in the 4x4-2 series

This series has slightly more difficult tracks than the previous 4x4-1 series.
As we have no way of knowing you or your vehicles capabilities please CHECK for yourself before committing, without care some sections may result in some body damage.
We would not recommend attempting this series in the wet without suitable recovery gear and the love of using it.

The Terrain raiting is because you will need a reasonable Four Wheel Drive or have a long walk on some rough tracks to find the cache.

We have had a few requests to do another 4x4 track series so here it is. This series can be done after the 4x4-1 series by continuing on from 4x4-1 Homeward Bound GCED1B and turning left at Tea Tree Track then follow Forest Track to Rocky Track.
Again this is a loop that will bring you back close to where you started so you can get back to Highway easily.
WARNING Rocky track is a very sharp left hand turn which will probably require two attempts to complete and is very close to a blind bend. If you do not have a passenger to check what is coming around the bend go past and do a U turn where safe and come back!

This is the first in this series of 5 cache hides and affords some great views of the surrounding hills and farmlands, or did when placed after the fires. You will also be able to see how well mother nature has recovered, in most cases, from the devastating Black Saturday fires.

The cache is hidden about half way along Rocky Track where the rocks stop and the dust/mud starts.
There is plenty of room to stop multiple vehicles off the track. If you take the easy way to GZ by walking past from the car parking area you will find no need to bush bash at all.

Now on to 4x4-2 Well That Was Rough GC2193D, just head up the track to the “T” intersection and turn left on to Robertson’s Creek track. This section will be difficult if wet and has a few large rocks to avoid but with care this is a good track, remember what goes up must come down.

We hope you have a great day’s four wheel driving while collecting a few caches along the way.

A bad day in the bush is still better than a good day at work.
