Geocache Description:

Due to the popular demand of the "TN Virtual Challenge" series (just kidding we are publishing them at the same time...), we have created the "TN Webcam Challenge"!

The Challenge is to find and log all of the active Webcam Caches in the State of Tennessee, as of 11/23/2009 there are 11.

This Challenge Cache is our way of paying tribute to the endangered and exceedingly rare (i.e. grandfathered) WEBCAM CACHE!

These are one of our favorite cache types as we have had a lot of fun (frustration?) with this interesting and fun technology-driven cache type.

Logging and other notes:

This cache is at the posted coordinates located in beautiful Crockett Park in Brentwood, TN. Bushwacking will be required to get to the final - you are looking for a 30 Cal German MG3 Ammo Can. You may visit and sign the log/trade, however you may not count this challenge as found on this website until you have completed the challenge and we have verified it.

ALSO - your webcam submission must be in the form of the actual webcam photo (not a digital camera photo taken in lieu of a working webcam). I realize a webcam may be down from time-to-time, however that adds to the complexity of the challenge and the difficulty rating accounts for this. We will check logs for uploaded webcam pics, logging this challenge as found without the required webcam photo will result in our deleting your find of this challenge cache!

If you are the owner of one of these webcam caches, thank you for creating and maintaining your webcam cache and that's one less you will have to find to complete the challenge!

To provide verification of your completion you can make a bookmark list, send screen shots from GSAK Finds filtered to show webcams in TN or send a database of your finds to my email address listed in my profile. I have created a bookmark list to assist you as well.

Here is a quick way to see how many you have found and how many to go. First sign into your account. In the upper left link choose "Hide and Seek" a cache. Then go to the bottom and select "Advanced Search" then on the next page drop down the menu and select Webcam Caches, next drop down the country to United States then drop down to Tennessee. Press run and you will have a query of all the TN Webcams and a red check mark next to the ones you have found.

A note of caution, due to the grandfathered status of the webcams, if I sense that these are suddenly disappearing and I suspect it has anything to do with making "one less to find to complete the TN webcam challenge" I will archive this straight away! Please play nicely... :)
