This is a small cache in a remote area of southeast Dona Ana County. The decon resides on one of many remnant volcanic cones in the area. The hike to this cache is not that long and the climb is fairly short.
The three initial stages are near each other and require no searching.

The cache hill from “Bell Curve peak”
I was google-earthing while researching tlepinski’s “Bell Curve” cache (GC215T7) and found a place nearby that I wanted to investigate. So after finding his cache I made my to this location and thought it cool enough to place a cache there. I had a totally different name for it before I got there but as usual seeing the area in person inspired a different, more fitting, name.

The initial coordinates place you at the start of the drive to the cache from the rail-road tracks. You’ll need to visit stages 1-2-3 to get numbers for the coordinates to 1) the starting spot for the hike and 2) for the cords to the final. The distance from stage 1, to stage 2, then on to stage 3 adds up to ~.95 mi. All three stages can quickly be grabbed without stepping foot out of your vehicle! The distance from the initial coordinates (above) to the final is ~4.85 mi as the bullet flies (crows don’t fly straight!). But the roads are rough and rocky…so expect slow going. If it’s been wet they will be muddy in spots. From the parking/hiking start point to the cache location is about 1.3 mi. with some moderate climb near the end. I suggest studying Google-Earth and bringing along a Delorme Gazetteer or a Roads of New Mexico map with you. You can drive to the park/hike start point at a corral and hike south on cow trails along a fence line to the cache. The cache is placed in a position to encourage the finder to take a lap around the top of the "stadium".

***STAGE INFORMATION***
Stage 1: (STG1)
Locate the two small green signs. Note the single-digit number on each of them.
Stage 2: (STG2)
Locate three 10 ft poles that mark a cable line. The coords take you to the MIDDLE pole. There is a pole to your SE (across, and next to, the road) and another to your NW. The numbers needed are on plates on the TOP of the poles. They are in this format "####+##". Drop the plus sign and combine the remaining six-digit number on each pole. String them all together to make an 18-digit number in the following order: SEpole MiddlePole NWpole.
Stage 3: (STG3)
Locate the roadside building. Note the four-digit address number on it.
