MOREZ: Le rond point émaillé Traditional Cache

Morez est une petite ville au riche passé industriel. Entre artisanat et industrie, ses habitants ont su développer des savoir faire complémentaires autour d'une véritable culture du métal. Horloge, émail, lunette sont les fleurons des productions locales.
Vers 1755, les horlogers de Morez auraient convaincu un émailleur suisse du Locle, David Henri Huguenin d'Otrand de venir s'installer en ville afin de leur enseigner l'art d'émailler les cadrans des horloges.

La cache se trouve non loin d'un carrefour réhaussé d'une oeuvre émaillée.

Around 1755, the clockmakers of Morez convinced an master enameller from Le Locle, David Henri Huguenin d'Otrand, to move to the town in order to teach them the art of enamelling clock faces.
