When looking on a map of Arakawa river, you will find a mysterious spot named 'Yakushido-no-Maki'. Maki is a kind of evergreen tree. There is a very simple and tiny shrine surrounded by deep forests, and a big tree of 'Maki' will welcome you. Additionally if it is lucky, the wild racoon or fox might be able to encounter.
This cache is easy to find but hard to access. I don't recommend to approach near the spot by a car because the road is very narrow and it is not possible to pass each other. So, please park your car in the parking lot for baseball field near by (it's free for 24h).

### Attention ###
There is a small path at northeastern area on GoogleMaps, but actually it's not the path and dense bamboo groves. So, I recommend you go straight to the north then turn to the right at the plate.

荒川沿いの地図を眺めていると、薮の中に「薬師堂のマキ」と書かれた不思議な場所があります。マキとはマキ科の常緑樹のことで、人里離れた荒川自然堤防の一角にぽつねんと建てられた薬師堂の前に、高さ17メートル、幹周り2メートル以上の巨木が見事に生い茂っている様は壮観です。また、ここの周囲は野生のタヌキや、かつてはキツネも目撃されたほど自然豊かなエリアです。
キャッシュはすぐわかる場所に隠してありますが、この薬師堂までたどり着くのはちょっと大変です。クルマの方は道が細く薬師堂前までのアプローチは困難なので、近くの少年野球グラウンドの無料駐車場に停めて徒歩で向かうことをお勧めします。
### ご注意 ###
GoogleMapではグラウンドの駐車場からキャッシュポイントに向かって北東側に細い道が見えますが、実際には深い竹やぶで歩くと大変な目に遭います。歩く際はまっすぐ北に向かい、途中の立て札で東に曲がり田んぼの中を進んでください。
