The village of Shoreham in Kent lies between Eynsford and Otford. The probable derivation of the name is estate at the foot of a steep slope. Steep slope was from the Saxon word scor. pronounced shor, but written sore by Norman scribes.
This cache lies on a footpath that crosses the rail track. You do not have to cross the stile onto railway property to retrieve this cache and it cannot be retrieved if you try.
Remember, rail crossing are dangerous places, always keep children and pets under control.
The cache is a small click and click container that contains a few swaps and log book, but no pen, so please bring your own.
