Geocache Description:

Place: Brass Monkey Heidelberg
Date: 19 December, 2009
Time: 1200-1400

My mom, LadyCache, is coming to visit from Nebraska, and would like to meet some local cachers. This will be her very first caching experience in a different country, so I'd like to make it a fun one! She will be bringing unactivated Nebraskache geocoins for doorprizes as well as TBs and coins that are crossing the pond to continue travels over here. If you have some that want to go to America, be sure to bring those along!

After lunch, we'll be geocaching in the Heidelberg downtown area. Everyone is welcome to join, but if you just want to have some lunch with some local cachers before heading out to your Saturday plans, you are still more than welcome to attend!

The Brass Monkey is near the Altebrucke, only a block away from the Taxi Point. There are various parking structures if you drive (see waypoints).

The downtown area is lit up with holiday cheer and on any given Saturday during the holiday season, you will see many street entertainers as well as vendors selling Gluhwein and other warm treats!

This event is open to all geocachers, but hosted by an English-speaking geocacher with very poor German language skills. I'm working on it ;)
