Geocache Description:

Near part of the Meadow Mountain loop trail called the Grand Canyon.

Meadow Mountain is a 262 acre parcel of land owned by the Town of Warren set aside for recreation. It is a popular area for hunting, off-roading, atv-ing, snowmobiling, mountain biking, horseback riding, and hiking. If you do not have an off-road vehicle, please park off to the side at the end of the pavement on Mountain Road here: N 44 09.669 W069 12.156. The loop trail including the parking spot at the end of the pavement is about 4-1/2 miles with some hills, water hazards and rocky terrain. LET ME MAKE IT VERY CLEAR THAT THIS ROAD IS FOR SERIOUS OFF ROAD VEHICLES WITH GOOD CLEARANCE. Not all of the loop can or should be done with an off-road vehicle, you be the judge. If in doubt, it’s still a fun walk! This is a popular hunting area. Please wear orange during hunting season. There are snowmobile trail signs on the sections of Carroll Road and Mountain Road, but there are no signs marking any of the trails/old logging roads.
