Located near Fanshawe Dam & Conservation Area
Welcome to the Fanshawe Dam.
The dam has a crest of 625 meters long and 30.5 meters high. The hydroelectric generator generates enough power to run 400 households.
Construction of this dam began in 1950 and it took two years to complete at a cost of $5 million.
A seismograph is placed inside the dam by the University of Western Ontario’s geology department.

The gate on the dam is closed at 4:00 p.m. The parking coordinates are just before you reach the dam gates.
