This cache is dedicated to our bitty Maltese named Munchkin. He is
a seemingly delicate little 3 pound ball of energy with a 30 pound
attitude and is always ready to hit the trails with us.
This cache has been placed on the grounds of Boyce Mayview Park,
475 acres of trails, ball fields, and natural beauty. On the
grounds is the Community Recreation Center, a 90,000 square foot
recreation and swimming facility. Behind and to the left of the
Recreation Center is the Regional Environmental Education Center,
which in the future will serve the educational needs of the
community. It is a magnificent complex which opened in the summer
of 2009.
To reach the cache, enter the grounds of the Boyce Mayview Park
on Mayview Road. Bear to the left and drive around to the rear of
the Center and then back to the Regional Environmental Education
Center. Park in the lot in front of the pavilion and locate the
upper left paved trail behind you. Follow the paved trail up the
hill to the Old Farm Road Trail and you are on your way.
The trail is wide, relatively flat through a beautiful area. The
cache itself is a standard size ammo can.
