Silversmith Park Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Cebbie3: Due to the fact that this cache went missing and I'm going to assume it fell in the river, I am going to archive this cache. It was the risk I was willing to make when I placed this cache that it could end up in the river. However, I felt the hiding place would hold the container pretty secure. Unfortunately the hiding spot shifted over time making the cache unstable.

Geocache Description:

During the nineteenth century, Wallingford industry expanded with a considerable concentration of small pewter and Britannia ware manufacturers. By mid-century, Robert Wallace acquired the formula for nickel silver and established with Samuel Simpson, R. Wallace & Company the forerunner of Wallace Silversmiths. It was also during this period that many of the small silver and Britannia plants were combined to form the International Silver Company with its headquarters in Meriden and several plants in Wallingford.
Silversmith Park must have great in its heyday. Its looks very run down and dilapidated. Intriguing nonetheless.
This cache is just off Stokes Ave.
It may look like you don’t have to worry about muggle activity but unexpectedly a car will go by.
Container is a Lock-n-Lock. Medium sized.
