The Strathcona Wilderness centre is a great place for a leisurely hike or X-Country skiing. There are lot's of birds and other wildlife. There is a lake and interpretive trails. The lodge supports numerous services including canoe rentals. Maps are available in the Lodge. The park is open everyday (from 9-4:30) except Christmas. There is a closed gate when the park is closed.
During the winter, most trails are reserved for skiing only. This is not a problem given the cache location. The multi-use trails will take you within 120m of the cache area. If you wish to get closer via trail, please walk on the forest edge.
The cache is located under the intersection of 2-3 logs in a small clearing.
Good Luck and wear sturdy footwear. Be aware that there are no dogs allowed and no mountain biking.
