The Strathcona Wilderness centre is a great place for a leisurely hike or X-Country skiing. There are lot's of birds and other wildlife. There is a lake and interpretive trails. Maps are available in the Lodge or on the trail. The park is open everyday (from 9-4:30) except Christmas. There is a closed gate when the park is closed.
During the winter, most trails are reserved for skiing only. This is not a problem given the cache location. The multi-use trails will take you within 30m of the cache area.
Good Luck and wear sturdy footwear. Be aware that there are no dogs allowed and no mountain biking.
