Mikro lobis prie rekonstruoto Kauno geležinkelio tunelio

Micro cache near reconstructed Kaunas railway tunnel.

Kauno geležinkelio tunelis – vienas iš dveju geležinkelio tuneliu Lietuvoje. Antrasis yra labai panašios konstrukcijos nenaudojamas Paneriu tunelis. Kauno tunelis yra vienintelis veikiantis geležinkelio tunelis Baltijos šalyse. Iškastas 30 m aukšcio kalvoje, po Aukštuju Šanciu gyvenamuoju rajonu. Tunelio aukštis – 6,6 m, plotis – 8,8 m, ilgis – 1285 m. Virš tunelio eina Kaišiadoriu gatve. Tunelis buvo pastatytas 1859-1861m, pradetas naudoti 1862 m pavasari.

Lobis pasleptas vietoje iš kurios gerai matomos vakarines tunelio prieigos.

Kaunas railway tunnel is one of two railway tunnels in Lithuania. The second tunnel has a similar construction and is located near Paneriai. Kaunas tunnel is the only operating railway tunnel in Baltic states. It is dug into a 30 meter high hill under Aukstieji Sanciai district. The tunnel is 6.6m high, 8.8m wide and 1285 long.
The tunel was constructed during 1859-1861. It was opened for use in spring of 1862.

The cache is hidden in a location which provides a good view to the western entrance of the tunnel.
