This cache is a short 20 minute round trip hike south on the coastal trail from the Cape Ferrelo parking area.
We went out scouting the last cache site we wanted to place on the cape. It is such a beautiful area and there are awesome views around every turn. We met the Hosman family, Brian the dad and his two son Evan and Andy and Dad or father in law? (Sorry it was a lot to keep straight) in the parking area. They were hot on the hunt for the Cape Ferrelo cache. We got to talking with them and we learned that Brian is in service to our country!!!! Wow! How cool is that. He is stationed in Wiesbaden Germany. They are new to caching and were quickly learning how to operate a new GPS. It is refreshing to meet a family out doing things together. So off we went to scout our placement. Then MM says you know that was special meeting the Hosman family. We should dedicate this cache to them. So here it is the Hosman Cachers. It is an easy trail. Just go south on the coast trail and veer to the west when your GPS points you that way. The trail goes right up to the cache site. It is a Mandala Mama cache container with mandalas on both ends. It will hold small swag. Thank you Brian for your service to our country. We enjoy living in the USA and people like you make it possible. Geocaching is a great way to meet people and enrich your life.
