A fun jaunt around the old pumping station. Located on the
outskirts of Phillips Park and Prestwich Clough.
I've often wondered what this little area was for.
I thought maybe it was the remains of Hobbiton or the grounds of an
old Scotch Egg factory.
Actually it the former site of Prestwich Sewage Farm so think of
that while you search for the cache! Take some time to explore the
area, some evidence of the old filter beds and other parts of the
works can still be seen.
The terrain is very flat and easy to traverse but you may have to
get on your hands and knees to find the cache! Perhaps a light
source would be beneficial too...
Please replace the container as found!
You can park on Buckley Lane very close to the cache. See
waypoint.
Please Note. This cache is in plain sight and disguised.
There is a small chance that it will get accidentally moved. If you
find it has been moved, please note the new coords so that I can
find and replace it easily.
