This cache is placed in the sand dunes of the hiddenvlei, part of the sossusvlei area. You walk a part of a trail through sand dunes to a viewing point. After that your on your own. You need a car to get to the car park, from the sesriem office approx 75 minutes drive. Walk from the car park to the vlei and back approx 5 km. Without searching for the cache this will take approx 2 hours. Through red sand dunes and burning sun (take enough water with you)

The cache needs a container, the old one (renewed in 2013 is broken)

The cache is hidden in an outstanding area.
You need to inform yourself about whether conditions before visiting, and take lots of water with you.
Apearently seasons and whether conditons make a big difference in this area.
I have heard peoply where not be able to even get close because of heat but also because of waterfloods.
The cache needs a new container, please save the oldest cache in Namibia, it was renewed by Andre as for 25-10-2013 he placed an official Geocaching lock and lock container, thanks ...But due to whether conditions and 12 years of service, this container has gone, and only a plastic bag remains
