This regular geocache is located right off I-5 and Exit 63 heading towards the town of Winlock.
Years ago, this whole area around here was slated to be named "Skye Village", a Scottish teamed tourist attraction. The first building was built, and this information booth was as well. But something got in the way, and the project stopped dead in its tracks. This explains the rather unusual looking gas station nearby.
The info booth has some very interesting local history facts about the surrounding towns that are worth reading while you look for this cache. There are also great views on clear days of Mt Rainier and Mt St Helens.
For a small little fact, one the Scottish Clans from the Isle of Skye (where Skye Village was named after), is the MacLeod. where my moms side of the family is from. Hence the name of the cache.
