gNarly Evening Workout Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Sapience Trek: It appears this can be safely archived since the Doxies are no longer in the area. I remember finding this one with a good group the evening it was published.

Geocache Description:

This N.E.W. cache is a NIGHT CACHE in Ellison Park. The posted coordinates mark the first fire tack! Ellison Park is open daily 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. Winter Park Hours: 11/01 thru 3/31, Mon. - Thurs the park is open 7am-4pm. Fri-Sun 7am-11pm.

Be prepared for a good workout. There shouldn't be any bushwhacking and it would be fine for kids. Some of the hills are a bit steep, but nothing a veteran cacher can't handle. We suggest doing this as a group to increase the fun factor.

From the parking coordinates head towards the bridge at the NW end of the parking lot. In the winter this part of the parking lot is not plowed. Being Ellison Park, the area can become flooded so be prepared.

You are looking for white fire tacks that are four sided and well above average height. An LED flashlight near eye level works best. The tacks are placed a fair distance apart. You will be guided along well worn trails except for the last 300 ft. There are some tacks that are triangular and you should pay attention to the direction that they are pointing. When you come to a tree with an orange tack (this triangle tack is not giving a direction), look for hidden coordinates in the area that will take you to the final 30 cal. ammo can. Please return all things as found.

There are 9 FTF lammies in the cache with the thought it will be a group of cachers on the hunt. If more are needed, just let us know. The first one to spot the ammo can is entitled to one of the swag items in the cache. There is a mini first aid kit, a reusable zip up bag, Hello Kitty band-Aids, a can of glow sticks, hand sanitizer, and a container of travel wipes to start.

Enjoy the hunt!

CONGRATULATIONS TO ATACM ON YOUR FIRST EVER FTF!
