While I do like geocaching – a lot, there are other things that I pursue too. One is vegetable gardening, another is cooking. This cache is intended to be the first in a series of caches that combines cooking and geocaching. Like my other cooking cache, Pearl Onion, this cache is placed where I picked up a key ingredient.

In the United States, we tend to use vanilla beans in sweet dishes. Many countries, including Italy, regularly include vanilla beans in savory dishes as well. Captain Geo and I really enjoy this side dish.
