Geocache Description:


Near Koyasu (child's good health) Shrine, there is another shrine to pray fetal good growth and safe delivery, Tayasu Shrine.

Tayasu Shrine was founded in 763. In 1055, the general Minamoto no Yoriyoshi and his son Yoriie got wind that the shrine is wonder-working, visited here on the way to an expedition and prayed his wife's/mother's safe delivery. In 1064, they visited here again on the way back and devoted their sword to thank God for the safe delivery. From this, the shrine has been allowed to use their family crest as its symbol. Originally, Tayasu Shrine was located at the same place of Koyasu Shrine, but it replaced to the present location in 1771.

The approach looks old and has a good atmosphere.
