Geocache Description:

This cache is located at a war memorial in the borough of Weatherly. This should be a quick cache and dash.

Originally named Black Creek, but changed to Weatherly in 1848, Weatherly is a small borough in Carbon County, Pa. This cache is hidden at a war memorial just in front of the borough's most notable landmark, the Mrs. C.M. Schwab High school, which was built between 1901 and 1903, being dedicated on September 19th, 1903. The school is named in honor of Mrs. Eurana Schwab, a native of Weatherly, who married Charles M. Schwab, a part owner of the Bethlehem Steel Company of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The new edition of the school was built in 1936, when overcrowding began at the school. The building stopped being used in 1991.

This cache was originally the Weatherly Memorial Cache.
