This one may be much harder than the first two. It blends in very well and is a very kewl container. Please do not help others with this one! If they stick it out and keep looking they will find it! After all to find a turkey while hunting is not always easy.
On this day of Thanksgiving I thought it very appropriate for me to go out and set some new caches for my extended caching friends and family. I have not been caching long and have not gotten the chance to meet many of you, but I wanted to thank all those that have taken time to put out caches for the rest of us to hunt. Caching has given me the incentive to get and get some much needed exercise with my dogs walking the parks and Rails to Trails when I am home. It has also given me something, besides sitting in a hotel room watching TV, to do when I am away traveling for work.
This trail goes from Wind Gap to Stockertown. It is very flat and straight. The few bends in the trail are slight and you can usually see almost 1/2 mile in front you. The path offers decent shade with trees on both sides. There are a number of caches located along this trail including two very well done multi’s which are my dogs favorites when doing trials since it insures them a nice long hike. If you want to make a long hike of it you should consider starting at the south end of the trial and hike your way to the very end, finishing up with “Could You Hear Me Then” #GC1DGE6. You may also consider parking a vehicle at either end of the trial if you do not want to hike all the way back. (North Parking N 40° 51.560 W 075° 16.329 and South Parking N 40° 45.960 W 075° 16.288) The South parking area has recently been redone and is now a nice paved area. There is still one benchmark across the street from there as well. I believe the one in the parking lot is now under pavement. If you really do not feel like hiking the whole trail there are several parking areas along the way which can be found from other caches, but please only park in the parking areas and not along the heavy traveled roads. As with all wooded areas in Pennsylvania please be careful and wear orange if you are going to be hiking or caching trials during hunting seasons. While there is no hunting on the trial it is always better to be safe than sorry as you never know who might be out in those woods with you.
Each of the caches in this series can be found without moving any rocks or destroying anything. Please do not destroy or move any of the rock formations, you may need to move some leaves, look in some holes, or slightly move some dead branches but that is it. Each of the cache containers and each hide are different and are taken from hides that I have come across while caching in different parts of the country. The degree of difficulty really depends on your experience. If you enjoy this first set of caches I will add some additional ones along the remaining part of this or another trial real soon.

Here is just a little more information about this cache. This one is a short distance off the main trial. Please do not park along the nearby road, use a legal trial parking area. This area can collect some trash so feel free to CITO. This fancy little cache container contains a log only so bring your own stick. :-) This will be extremely hard to find in the snow months.
