A Rocky Chair (Otago) Traditional Cache

Drive up the valley towards the village, cross the bridge (this marks the boundary between Dunedin, the largest city in the world and the Clutha District) and turn a sharp left into the picnic area. Sadly there is usually plenty of oportunity for CITO here - bring a nag and watch out for broken glass.
The track up to the cache starts above the looped driveway. The track takes you past the Alan Rekowski shelter which has toilets "facilities" along a small track off the end. As you wander up the track you can note the rapid regrowth of the native understory due to pest control in the area. Indeed this is one area which still retains an impressive dawn chorus and morepork can be heard at night. At each junction turn right. 2min before the cache and 1min before the last fork there is a rock platform which affords a partial view up and down the valley. This would have, of course been a good enough spot for the cave but then most would have missed the oportunity of having another rest in the glade on the structure at GZ.
Maintenance will be annual at the end of Nov - in between times I'd be grateful for assistance in this if it is needed.
