This is the first of a series of eleven caches I have placed along an almost 5 mile long section of the Airline Trail in Hampton and Pomfret, CT. This section of the trail is in very good condition with the exception of a quarter- mile section just west of Hampton Road. The trail is suitable for biking and cross-country skiing as well as hiking. There are many interesting sites along the Trail and I have tried to place caches at these spots. The area of this cache affords an interesting view of a small pond and a beaver's hut. .
