Blo Norton Church stands in the centre of this small straggling village on the Norfolk – Suffolk borders.
For me, its most interesting feature is the memorial of 1926 to Frederick Victor Duleep Singh, son of the Maharajah Duleep Singh, who lived over the border at Elveden. Fabulously wealthy, feted by royalty and spoilt as a child (his Godfather went on to become King Edward VII), Frederick Victor lived the last 20 years of his life at nearby Blo Norton Hall,
For further information, please see Simon Knott’s excellent page on his Norfolk Churches website, (visit link)
The cache is hidden just outside the churchyard.
If anybody would like to expand the Church Micro series please do, we would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names, to avoid duplication.
