Geocache Description:

A peanut butter jar located along the shores of Lake Altoona.

This mystery cache will require some homework! (Don’t worry, it’s not too tough).

The numeric coordinates can be decoded using the standard resistor color code. That code uses a color to represent each of the decimal digits 0 through 9. Use your favorite internet search engine to find one of the many references to the “resistor color code”.

Resistors are components used in electronic circuits. Traditionally, colored bands were printed on the component to help designers and technicians identify the resistance value of the resistor. YOU will need to use this color code to decipher the coordinates of this cache!

This cache is on a relatively steep slope. USE CARE and find this cache at your own risk!

Good Luck!

The coordinate clue is as follows:

N (YELLOW) (YELLOW) ° (YELLOW) (GRAY) . (BLUE)(YELLOW) (WHITE)

W (BLACK) (WHITE) (BROWN) ° (RED) (GREEN) . (GREEN) (BLUE) (WHITE)

The cache coordinates are for FEE parking within the county park.

There is also limited free parking at a nearby small city park.

Free Parking coordinates are:

N 44° 48.696

W 091° 25.860
