Geocache Description:

Now that I have placed a few caches along the Minuteman Bike Path south of the Bedford Depot Park I decided to turn my sights west to the Reformatory Branch Trail. This is the second of several caches I have placed along that trail.

Reformatory Branch Trail (RBT)
The Boston & Maine Railroad’s Reformatory Branch was built in 1873 to Lowell Road in Concord and in 1879 it was continued 2.5 miles further west to Reformatory Station (across from the State Prison). There were four passenger stations on the line: Shady Hill, West Bedford, Concord and Reformatory. The branch was abandoned in 1962, and later the right-of-way was purchased by Bedford and Concord. The trail is unimproved but it is still a good bike path. Along the way it skirts Great Meadows Wildlife Sanctuary.

The Puzzle
Start with this:
- .... . / -.-. --- --- .-. -.. ... --..-- / -. ....- ..--- /
..--- ----. .-.-.- ----- ----. ----- / .-- --... .---- /
.---- --... .-.-.- .---- ..--- ..... / .- .-. . / --- ..-. ..-. /
.. -. / - .... . / .-- --- --- -.. ... /

.-.. --- --- -.- / ..-. --- .-. / .- / -.-. .-.. ..- . / -.-- --- ..- /
.-- .. .-.. .-.. / -. . . -.. / - --- / -.. . -.-. --- -.. . /
- --- / ..-. .. -. -.. / - .... . / ..-. .. -. .- .-.. .-.-.-

Depending on what browser you are using this code may be spaced funny or have odd line breaks. Don't worry about the spacing or line breaks, just decode the Morse code. The slashes indicate word breaks. I tried to put work breaks at the end of each line.

The Cache
Parking is easy at the posted coordinates of N42 29.140 W71 17.058.
When you are headed towards the final, be aware there is water along side the old rail bed so you are best off following the rail bed for awhile before turning towards the cache. The final area may be a bit wet so make sure you lock the lid of the cache when you are done.

Good luck and good caching,
Loch Cache
