Now that I have placed a few caches
along the Minuteman Bike Path south of the Bedford Depot Park I
decided to turn my sights west to the Reformatory Branch Trail.
This is the fifth of several caches I have placed along that
trail.
Reformatory Branch Trail (RBT)
The Boston & Maine Railroad s Reformatory Branch was built in
1873 to Lowell Road in Concord and in 1879 it was continued 2.5
miles further west to Reformatory Station (across from the State
Prison). There were four passenger stations on the line: Shady
Hill, West Bedford, Concord and Reformatory. The branch was
abandoned in 1962, and the right-of-way was purchased by Bedford
and Concord. The trail is unimproved but it is still a good bike
path. Along the way it skirts Great Meadows Wildlife
Sanctuary.
The Cache
The cache is a small sized cache well hidden from sight and yet
only a few yards from the bike trail. Parking is just off Hartwell
Ave. When looking for the cache remember to look up as well as
down, look in as well as out.
The Puzzle for RBT5
I WANTED FEW CACHERS FINDING THIS 1. YOU ARE NOW 1? IT WAS GOOD
THAT I STILL SPOKE TO MY FRIENDS. NOW IF TURNING A FRIEND ONTO
GOECACHNIG STILL DON’T HAVE THEM FIND MINE. HAVE FRIEND GO
SEEK NEW ONE. VERY NEW ARE NICE. IT IS THE CACHES FOUND YOU SEEK.
GET ANY VERY NEW OR ANY OLD. TO EASY FIND SOME NEW 1. SAVE MINE,
LEARN FROM FINDS ON THE UNDERRATED STUFF!
THEN GO TROMPING UP SOME REAL TOUGH CACHES. JUST REMEMBER A LOCH
CACHE CACHE ISN’T EASY. THERE HARD OR TRIKEY TO SEEK. IT THE
FEW CACHES PLANNED AT ALL BY LOCH YOU NO ARE HARD. FIND MULTS TRAD
AND OTHERS THAT NOT HARD. ONLY ONCE THEY CAN FIND FOUR YOU CAN TRY
HIS OTHER, NOT SO EASY CACHES. DON’T BE DUMB GOING ROUND
EVERY EASY AS PIE CACHE THINKING ALL CACHES ARE EASY. ALL THAT ONE
CACHER SHOULD CACHE AT A CACHE IS HIS SPEED!
