Geocache Description:

A number of years ago the Texas Historical Commission established and marked out different trails as part of the Texas Heritage Trails Program. The trails included the following:

Texas Forest Trail
Texas Forts Trail
Texas Independence Trail
Texas Lakes Trail
Texas Brazos Trail
Texas Hill Country Trail
Texas Mountain trail
Texas Pecos trail
Texas Plains trail
Texas Tropical Trail
The Chisholm Trail

Each trail is in a different part of the state and here in Hunt County we are privileged to have the Texas Lakes Trail wind through the county from north to south going past Lake Tawakoni. Other major lakes along the trail include Cedar Creek Reservoir, Richland –Chambers Reservoir, Lake Whitney, Lake Granbury, Lake Weatherford, Lake Worth, Eagle Mountain Lake, Lewisville Lake, Ray Roberts Lake, Lake Texoma, and Cooper Lake. There are also other smaller lakes along the trail that are too numerous to mention here.

I know for a fact that there are other caches along this trial but they are just not identified as such. You can safely pull off the road nearby this cache. My name is Fon, the exchange student from Thailand. This is my first cache here in the US, and the first one I’ve ever done in my life (since I’m not sure if they have this in Thailand). I’m still thinking about the name of the cache, which I have been thinking for the whole afternoon. As you can guess, I couldn’t come up with any idea until now. So, I would just name it ‘Fon’s Cache’ and hope you will enjoy with it :)
