Due to my advancing age, I (and my doctor) am concerned about the possibility of my experiencing a medical situation while on the road to Maintain one or more of my 120 GC Geocaches and 50 GCA Geocaches.
If you live near this Geocache, or regularly travel near it, you might be interested in Adopting this Geocache (or more of mine). Please let me (WanderingAus) know by Message at
Geocaching Message Center
if you are interested, including the cache code or codes
(e.g GC21HAJ for this cache).
My thanks to Swoosh0375 for replacing this cache.
If you happen to have a small pencil, such as a Keno or Ikea pencil, this cache needs one.
Due to the absence of pen or pencil in this geocache (due to recent muggling)
PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN WRITING IMPLEMENT!!!
I enjoyed hunting down a couple of richlink's "Last Known Address" series of caches, and having spotted a large number of cemeteries in my travels I asked richlink if I could add to the "Last Known Address" series of caches. I received a reply in the affirmative on 5 May 2009, but I couldn't find my Round Tuit, so it took me a while to place any. (See my GC1RB3G WanAus 95 - Round Tuit if you don't know what that means.)
The cache is not at the above co-ords but it is where you will find the information to locate GZ. You are looking for the headstone of Pte Thomas Green. ABCD = the numeric part of his Regimental Number, EFGH = the year of his death.
The cache can be found at S33 52.AG(D-C) E116 05.(D-H)(F-A)E
I originally tried to keep to the simple style of Richlink's caches, so they were all micro containers, although some were bigger than others. I had problems with the waterproof integrity of many of those containers, so I am progressively replacing them with small screw-top containers which should be more waterproof.
The cache is a small round screw-top container, containing only a log book, hidden at the base of a tree under leaf litter on the side closest to the gate. Please be sure to put the lid on tightly and conceal it as found, and watch out for muggles.
