Geocache Description:

Last Known Address Manjimup

Should be an easy find in the Dead Centre of Manjimup.

Due to my advancing age, I (and my doctor) am concerned about the possibility of my experiencing a medical situation while on the road to Maintain one or more of my 120 GC Geocaches and 50 GCA Geocaches.

If you live near this Geocache, or regularly travel near it, you might be interested in Adopting this Geocache (or more of mine). Please let me (WanderingAus) know by Message at
Geocaching Message Center
if you are interested, including the cache code or codes
(e.g GC21HAM for this cache).

Due to the temporary nature of pens and pencils in my geocaches
BRING YOUR OWN WRITING IMPLEMENT!!!

I enjoyed hunting down a couple of richlink's "Last Known Address" series of caches, and having spotted a large number of cemeteries in my travels I asked richlink if I could add to the "Last Known Address" series of caches. I received a reply in the affirmative on 5 May 2009, but I couldn't find my Round Tuit, so it took me a while to place any. (See my GC1RB3G WanAus 95 - Round Tuit if you don't know what that means.)

The cache is not at the above co-ords but it is where you will find the information to locate GZ. You are looking for the headstone of Pte E.J. Jefferies. ABCD = his Regimental Number, EFGH = the year of his death.

The cache can be found at S34°15.EG(B-D)' E116°08.G(H-E)E'.

I originally tried to keep to the simple style of Richlink's caches, so they were all micro containers, although some were bigger than others. I had problems with the waterproof integrity of many of those containers, so I am progressively replacing them with small screw-top containers which should be more waterproof.

The cache is a drab camo'd 500 Ml round screw-top container, with log book, finders cards, two pencils, a pencil sharpener, and a few swaps. Please be sure to put the lid on tightly and conceal it as found, and watch out for muggles.

If you are heading out to hunt down some of my more remote GC1QYV5 WanAus 89 - Roaming Western Australia or GC29MXD WanAus 179 - Discover Western Australia caches, where the cache density is very low, why not consider taking a few prepared containers with you, stocked with log book and swaps etc, and when you spot one of those places that make you think "that would be a good place for a cache", place one of your own. Just check that there isn't a cache within 160 metres, and please don't place a micro in the bush where you could easily conceal an ammo box or Milo tin.
