Vehicles can park by the airport, and it will be a 15 minute walk from the road, or there is a rough track up to the guns.
The Canopus guns, located on a seaward facing hill, to the east of Stanley. They were removed from a British battleship during the first world war, and placed on the hill to aid in the defence of Stanley and the important radio station located there, from German ships during the first world war.
