The Searchdog: Thanks to the railway work this cache is no longer on a footpath and cannot be considered part of the walkway so I'm archiving it, I may put a new cache here after the work is complete.

The last of five caces placed to encourage people to walk or cycle this route.
There is no safe parking near enough to make this a cache and dash, the nearby entrance at the junction of Old Dalkeith Road and Melville Gate Road is blocked by bollards and is therefore unsafe to park at.
For those who wish to walk the whole route, I would recommend travelling to Penicuik by bus from Edinburgh, finishing here and either walking the extra little bit to the park and ride near Danderhall or retracing your steps across the bridge and bearing left along another section of walkway leading into Dalkeith and the bus station.
this can also take the energetic to the walkway leading to Whitecraig.
