Aged Traveller? Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Quackcracker: Visited today and found completely uncovered as the camo material has disappeared over the winter. Quite wet inside and has not attracted that much attention so time for it to be put to rest.

Thanks to those who solved and visited.

Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the above coordinates which are at the junction of the A59 and the B6451. The cache is within 1 mile of this location.

To get the coordinates for the cache you will need to take a couple of tours. After taking these tours you will not want to do much walking, so a quick drive by.

I have an amazing friend, 104 but still very much ‘in the pink’. Finally single so likes to tour. I do all the driving and my friend does the navigating – well, that’s the theory!

We went for a drive to the North and decided to start in York. We then went over to Blackburn before heading up to Carlisle but somehow got to Workington. I realised we were definitely wandering when we entered Stranraer so I headed back to Moffat and aimed for home via Hexham.

Our next trip was supposed to go West but I got worried early on when we by-passed Leicester – twice! I was no more impressed when we arrived in Doncaster and finished up in Whitby. When the next place I reached turned out to be Lincoln, I decided that to get West I might just as well follow the afternoon sun which took us to Aberystwyth. Realising that to go further West meant getting wet, I headed for home but still managed to deviate through Chester and Shrewsbury. I’d better get a satnav!

The cache is at the roadside and there is very handy parking nearby. You are looking for a small tub which when placed had a log and a couple of pencils, a smiley whistle, an led light and a travel bug.
