This is the first cache my son and I hid. He named it and it's very kid friendly. You can park behind the library at Kantor Field [formerly Riverside Park] or access it by paddling along the Passaic River. There is a trail from the parking lot and then a short bushwack. The area can be wet and or a little muddy at times, but an easy walk.
Its a rubber maid (upgraded to lock & lock) container, has kid swag, log book and pencil. I also placed a travel bug I picked up the other day. It needs to see more of New England.
You should stand on the (East Side) of the hiding location and remove ONE piece of wood to reach the cache. The cache is about chest high. There are two flat stones on the cache to stop the cache from floating away during high flooding. Please put the stones and wood back when finished. Thank You.
