The location of the cache is N 40 53.XXX W 074 26.YYY Clue for XXX - A net force of 265 N will accelerate how much mass at 0.5 m/s/s? Clue for YYY - acceleration due to gravity is 9.81 m/s/s. What is the weight (in Newtons) of a 98.17 kg mass?
I replaced the cache 8/13 as I think it was muggled. Irene, the Halloween storm, and Sandy have made the pursuit annoying with many downed trees. The cache now includes Tracker Bug CHUM. This is a PHYSICS cache - a 5 in diam cammo box with items from the world of physics. Please take anything from the cache if you can replace it with an object and an entry in the cache notebook describing how it relates to the world of physics (which shouldn't be too hard - "physics" is from a Greek word meaning "nature"). Coming DOWN Tower Hill Rd in Mt. Lakes, on the right there is (usually) a chain blocking a path by a fire hydrant. Park, and take the trail behind the chain. The trail takes you to the "new" sled run, finished in the late 1960's. Before that, sledding was done on North Glen, which was left unplowed for kids (and unhappy resident drivers). The "new" sled run follows an unfinished road from when the town was originally created. See the foundations built 100 years ago in anticipation of a road! From the ridge you'll have a beautiful view of Crystal Lake.
