Geocache Description:


I happened to drive through McGuffey the other day and was surprised to see a set of wind turbines running behind USV. These 100 kilowatt (kW) turbines will provide up to one-third of the electricity for the school's Wind/Energy Academy and its "Green Lab" facility. The environmental effect is similar to not driving 434,985 miles in an average passenger car. Dr. James Bowser, superintendant of the wind academy, says more will be showing up throughout Hardin county in the near future.

There's a quiet unpaved road behind them where you can get within 150-200 yards from the turbines. I thought this would be an interesting area for a cache and managed to have one ready.

The cache is a matchstick container with a log and a prize for FTF...
