Geocache Description:

THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE ABOVE COORDINATES!!! ONCE YOU HAVE THE COORDINATES, ACCESS THE CACHE FROM A LOCAL DEAD END STREET. NO PRIVATE PROPERTY ACCESS IS NEEDED.

This cache was inspired by a combination of two things. The first was kahoonah1215’s cache “The Top 10 List” (GC214T9). That was a great idea to get others to think about doing some of the best caches around. Unfortunately, being FTF on that one, my list is down at the very bottom where no one probably ever looks. That being said, I wanted everyone to know what I think are the top 15 caches I’ve done so far. The second inspiration was LiefPhoto’s tribute series “For Dave and Dan” (GC21F3Y) and “For Dan and Dave” (GC217VA). Oh, yeah…and I watched “The Sound of Music” the other day, and that inspired the title of this cache. So, without further adieu, here’s my top 15 favorite caches (in no particular order). 1. GC213KN - Zero One Two Two Zero – I really liked this puzzle because it wasn't your typical "figure out which cipher he's using and decode the message." It made me use my head, rather than my gas! 2. GC1zC6A - This Little Piggy Went to the Market – OK, having said what I did about ciphers in number 1, I have to say I really liked this one because it blended puzzles with interesting history. 3. GC19ZJM Don't Hate Me 'Cause I'm Pretty – This was a very creative, very fun 7 stage multi. The end was a little anti-climactic, but there were a couple of very ingenious coordinate hides on this one! 4. GC1QPF4 - Playtime's Revenge – This one was such a huge tree climb that I chickened out half way up. After kahoona1215 went up, he peer-pressured me into doing the climb. Wow, what a heart-stopper. 5. GC1ZK08 - A Century in a Day Challenge – I liked this one because it made me get out there and cache all day...just so I could get this one! 6. GC1Y63C - Ice Cube – OK, this cache in itself is nothing special, but it's still one of my favorites because of the story involved. I found this container while working on "Don't Hate Me 'Cause I'm Pretty." It was right at one of the coordinate stops, and was obviously just placed there as it had a blank log in it. I decided to sign as FTF with the hope that the owner would be told it had to be moved because of proximity issues, would just pick it up and move it to a new location and never check to see the signed log. Well, a few weeks later "Ice Cube" popped up and I went out to find it. Though I was 5th to find this time, my FTF was still on the log! The best part was reading shadow101's log which said - "This one was strange. I got here within about 15 minutes of the cache popping up, and found three other names on the log. With dates from three weeks ago." I just laughed and laughed! 7. GC1D5W6 - Agent 711 – Another great puzzle that had me researching at the library and everything! Very well done. 8. GC19RW3 - Man's Best Friend – Probably the most difficult find of my caching career...a very long hike through some really tough terrain to an extremely well camouflaged cache. Would never have found it without help from other searchers! 9. GC1N7X4 - Kiwanda High – I loved this cache because it's in one of the most beautiful areas in all the coast! 10. GC1X811 - No More Mister Nice Guy – I liked this cache because though I was not first on the scene, I was FTF! To be honest, it was totally by "accident". This cache is a real head scratcher - deserves the rating and then some! While at the cache I really enjoyed meeting the owner and fluffychips...oh, yeah, and the nice police officer who was checking up on suspicious activity. The best part was right after he asked us what we were doing and we answered him, he grabbed his mike on his shoulder and said, in an exasperated tone, "They’re Geocachers." That made my night! Then he asked where we were headed next so he could ignore the calls. I told him my next stop was "bed" and he just chuckled. Fun night! 11. GCZXT9 - I'VE GOT STANDARDS!!!!! – This is a really fun multi-cache located in and around the Salem Library. The final cache container is super cool! 12. GC1ZGJE - Becoming a Jedi 4 – OK, full disclosure would require me to tell you that this is my cache, but it’s still one of my very favorites. The lead-up of Becoming a Jedi 1-3 was even more fun for me because I had this one in the back of my find the whole time…both the location and the container. Those who have finished the series have said this is one of their favorite all time caches! 13. GCXQ2G - clOAKed – This was a great cache…I can’t tell you specifically why I liked it, for that would give it away, but I can say I looked and looked and then had an inspiration that led me to the cache! 14. GC1EYRE - We had to do “WHAT”? – I did this cache the same day I did cloaked, and they were both tough! I actually had my hand on this cache within a minute or two of arriving at GZ, but didn’t actually come up with the find for about another 20 minutes. This was the first cache of this kind I’d come across. 15. GCXQ24 - Corban – Well, this is my alma mater, so bonus points for that. Other than that, this may be the most difficult cache in all of Salem to find. I don’t think I would have ever found this one without a “phone-a-friend” nudge (read: pointed it out to me) from the cache owner. If you can find this without any help or clues at all, you ROCK!!! Coordinates for YOUR cache final were jumping all over the place...sometimes said I was right on, sometimes 40' away. When you get there, you'll know it - It's big and ugly and doesn't belong!

OK...since it's been over a month since the first finder, I've added a hint.
