Nel 1778 fu eretta l'attuale chiesa che, a differenza dell'antica, edificata alla fine del Cinquecento, presenta l'abside rivolta ad Est, verso il Terraglio. Dedicata a Sant'Urbano, il cui martirio fu dipinto a fresco sul lacunare da Giambattista Canal (1752), figlio del Canaletto, è corredata da cinque altari di marmo provenienti dalla soppressa chiesa di Santa Marta a Venezia. All'interno si possono ammirare, tra le varie opere artistiche di minor rilievo, tre tele attribuite alle Scuole del Veronese e a Palma il Vecchio.
Nel 1774 si dovette ricostruire il campanile che era stato colpito da un fulmine; circa un secolo più tardi venne rifatta, in marmo bianco e rosso, la pavimentazione della chiesa ed eliminate le numerose lapidi sepolcrali ancora esistenti ma mai conservate. Nell'attuale cimitero si cominciò a seppellire dal 1860.
E' interessante ricordare che nell'edificio parrocchiale demolito nei primi del '700, vi era una balaustra in pietra d'Istria che separava a metà navata gli uomini dalle donne.

In 1778 the present church was erected which, unlike the ancient, built in the late sixteenth century, has the apse facing east, toward the Terraglio. Dedicated to St. Urban, whose martyrdom was painted in fresco on lacunar by Giambattista Canal (1752), son of Canaletto, is accompanied by five marble altars from the former church of Santa Marta in Venice. Inside you can admire, among other works of art minor, three paintings attributed to the school of Veronese and Palma il Vecchio.
In 1774 he had to rebuild the bell that had been struck by lightning; about a century later was rebuilt, in red and white marble, the floor of the church and eliminate the many tombstones still exist but never kept. In the cemetery began to bury the 1860s.
And 'interesting to note that the parish building demolished in the early' 700, there was a stone balustrade Istrian mid aisle that separated men from women.
